Seeking Out New Customers

When we seek out new business or new customers, we look at targeting all potential customers in the immediate vicinity of our satisfied customers. We ask satisfied customer(s) for a letter of recommendation that we can use when discussing the possibility of securing new customers in the immediate geographic area around the site that we are already servicing. This allows us to offer better pricing to our clients because it will cut down on travel time between jobs. If the customer is paying per truck with a minimum travel time charge between customers, it will mean lower overall costs to customers if we can eliminate travel time.
Additionally, it is easier to incorporate a new customer into the schedule if they are close to an existing site that is already being serviced. It just makes good sense to “cluster” accounts strategically. Customer density allows for better customer service and lower travel times between sites.
